Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for Yuma, Arizona!

Situated amid southern Arizona's Yuma and Gila valleys, the charms of Yuma blend Colorado River coolness, desert sun warmth, and rugged mountain vistas. Recreational magnetism centers on cultural and scenic attractions, lushly landscaped golf courses, and a diversity of dining and shopping options. On Prison Hill Road, the Yuma Territorial Prison State Park housed many of Arizona's most notorious criminals between 1876 and 1909, and remains of prison cells have appeared in literature, movies, and television. Also popular is Yuma Crossing State Historic Park, serving as a distribution point for troops stationed at Arizona Territory outposts. Roxaboxen Park -- memorializing Alice McLerran's children's story, now published in seven languages -- traces history of imaginative Roxaboxenites growing up in Yuma to create a town of rocks and boxes.

Other attractions include the Arizona Historical Society's Century House Museum in one of Yuma's oldest buildings, St. Thomas Mission on ground of the original 1789 mission, and Adair Park with pistol and archery ranges, a radio controlled model airplane strip, and camping. The Yuma Valley Railway train travels back in time on two-hour narrated tours from October through March along a Colorado River route featuring wildlife and wetlands. Dining options range from Britain Farms Chuckwagon & Steakhouse, with western food, enterainment, and an antiuqe car museum, La Fonda Mexican Food, Cia Bella Ristorante Italiano, and India House. For tours, gifts, and treats, the Peanut Patch provides baskets, boxes, and tins of fudge, candies, and nuts grown from sandy soil of the Yuma Mesa. Yuma lodging ranges from family owned inns, motels, and lodges to nationally known hotels.
